Spec Hook PMI/SMC

Your PMI Spec Hook is intended for use as an Emergency Escape

Line anchor hook. This hook may be used to anchor a rope to any

acceptable strength point in the area being exited. There are

several ways to load the hook, including placing it over a window

sill: the user does a slow roll out while keeping the hook loaded

(under tension) and holding it in place while exiting.Attach the escape line to the small eye at the bottom of the hook • Anchor hook on window sill or other edge, and proceed with

bailout method: be sure to keep the hook & line under constant

tension so it stays in place. • Hook may be used as an anchor around an object in addition to

the traditional window method: simply pass the hook & line around

the object to which you are anchoring. Form a bight of rope in the

working section of the line, then pass the bight through the handle

and over the tip of the hook. Pull tight to remove all slack, so the

line is snug around the anchor object.
